Standing on Whalley Road and overlooking the sweep of Calder Valley, the Stork Hotel is a traditional village pub in Simonstone, close to the heart of the Ribble Valley.
Firmly established within the local community it greets both regulars and visitors who are just passing through. In fact everyone is made welcome by Morag, Ian and their daughter, Nicola. The Gee family has been inviting guests into their cosy Thwaites inn since 1997, serving quality food and drink in a relaxed and cheery atmosphere that the Stork Hotel has become renowned for.
With a true local feel there’s something to suit every taste – from al fresco drinking in the cobbled courtyard when the sun is shining to top TV sports viewing in front of the fire on match night.
Food is served lunchtimes and evenings – traditional pub classics that offer quality combined with excellent value for money. Ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible and the team take great pride in creating wholesome tasty dishes. There’s also a coffee bar complete with home-baked confectionery for when the mood takes you.
The Stork Hotel is Cask Marque approved, which means you’re always sure of a decent pint when you visit – if you care to prop up the bar you’ll see our enviable range of Thwaites ales, together with a variety of lagers, wines and spirits all on offer.
So whether you’re popping into the Stork Hotel for a quick drink or settling down for the evening to watch the game or enjoy a quality home-cooked meal, you can be sure of good-old-fashioned hospitality – and panoramic views to boot – at no extra charge…
